ECONOMISER COILS

These are boiler feed-water heaters in which the heat from waste flue gases is recovered to raise the temperature of feed water supplied to the boiler, thereby increasing the Fuel Economy, Steaming Capacity, Life of the Boiler and Reducing Pollution.

We have fabricated various types Economizers Coils, (Plain Tubular Economizers, Finned Economizers Cast lron Gilled Economizers), Feed water heaters Evaporator Coils etc. The main problem faced by boiler engineers is the Erosion of the Eco-Coil tubes and mainly at bends. We offer innovative Solutions to extend the life of the Coils by providing Cassette baffles for bends, Half Tubes Sleeves for upper tubes, SS full Sleeved tubes etc.

SUPERHEATERS COILS

Superheaters Coils are the most critical Boiler Component of the modern day Thermal Power Plant and are subject to very high metal temperatures. In fact the capacity of the Superheater to work without failure at higher Temperatures is what determines the boilers Capacity and it effects improvement in economy by reducing Steam Consumption of the Steam Turbine.

We have fabricated thousands of Superheaters – Radiant, Pendant, Final, Fluidized Bed types, Reheaters for all kinds of Boilers having Complicated very close and Compact Shapes with tube sizes ranging from 32mm OD to 76.2mm OD and thickness from 3mm of 12mm in all types of Boiler Quality Steel Grades ranging from Carbon to Alloys and Stainless Steel for metal temperature ranging up 650 C and for Boilers of 10 to 500 MW Capacity.

STUDDED BED COILS & TUBES

Studded Tubes are used to increase the Surface Areas to achieve higher Heat Transfer Rates. They are used in Fluidized Bed Coils and Fluidized Bed Superheaters. They are also used in Refineries as Reheaters.

We use Automatic Stud Welding Machines using Drawn Arc method capable of welding studs up to max. 13mm Dia. at a very closed pitch of 63 Stud Planes Per Mtr. (cross-linear). The Material Grade of Studs and Tubes can be similar or dissimilar of grades ranging from Carbon Steel to Alloy Steel (up to 9 Cr) to Stainless Steels. We can also give special HVOF Chromium Carbide coating on surfaces subjects to High Erosion Velocity of Flue gases to avoid frequent replacements.

BOILER BANK TUBES

Boiler Bank Tubes are Bent to Shape Tubes or Steam Generating Tubes where Water is converted to Steam. Boiler Bank Tubes carry a mixture of water and steam. Fabricated from Tubes in various sizes and shapes, bending of these tubes is generally to larger Radius hence they need some Tube Bending Expertise to avoid wrinkles, surface cracking, irregularities, ensuring long life of tube resulting in smooth and efficient operation of the Boiler. These tubes for replacements in boilers have been supplied by us to various industries like Sugar, Refineries Steel Plants, small and Large Utility / Captive Power Plants. These Shaped Tubes are generally fabricated from Seamless/ ERW Tubes. The sizes of tubes having different shapes vary from 114 mm OD. X 4 mm Thk. to 50.8 mm OD. X 5.60mm Thick with or without Swaged Ends and with or without Welded Fins and with Wrap.

WATER WALL PANELS​

Water Wall Panels are used in modern day Boilers in place of Steam Generating Tubes to reduce heat loss due to their gas tight nature and reduce insulation costs. We fabricate Water Wall Panels using automatic Fin to tubes welding machines and large Tube Panel Benders to achieve desired shape of panels which can have Swaged Ends, Stub Welded to Headers. We supply Panels with integrated manhole openings in the panels.

We have fabricated panels made of Rifle Bore Tubes of Size 50.8 mm OD x 5.6 Mm MWT conforming to SA- 210 Gr. C in Lengths of upto 24 mtrs. X max.28 tubes (2 mtrs. wide) with Straightness within a tolerance of + / – 3mm.

HELICALLY WOUND FINNED TUBES

G Fins:  (Embedded Fin) The G fin strip is wound into a machined groove and securely locked into place by back filling with base tube material. This ensures that maximum heat transfer is maintained at high tube metal temperatures. Maximum operating temperature for this fin type is 450°C. Fin Material: Aluminum or Copper

Tube Materials: Carbon steel, Cr.-Mo. Steel, Stainless Steel.

L Fins:  L Fin strip material is subjected to controlled deformation under tension giving the optimum contact pressure of the foot of the fin onto the base tube thus maximizing the heat transfer properties. The foot of the fin considerably enhances the corrosion protection of the base tube. Maximum operating temperature for this fin type is 150°C.

Fin Material: Aluminum or Copper.

Tube Materials: Carbon steel, Cr.-Mo. steel, stainless steel

Crimped Fins:  This fin type (crimped fin) is a non taper fin wrapped under tension around the base tube. The finning process results in a crimp forming at the foot of the fin. Fin is then welded to the base tube at the strip ends. Maximum operating temperature for this fin type is 250°C.

Fin Material: Carbon/Stainless Steel or Copper.

Tube Materials: Carbon/Stainless Steel.

FINNED TUBES​

While it is not necessary to tell engineers what finned tubes are, or that their use is mandatory in cases of gas-liquid heat exchange where the film coefficient ratio is above 2, it is essential to tell the engineers that FINNED TUBES are backed by not only engineering excellence of manufacture, but also by our zealously guarded reputation for the finest quality of all our products.

LONGITUDINALLY FINNED TUBES: We have indigenous developed automatic welding machines for giving low distortion longitudinally welded Finned Tubes used in low capacity Boilers.

T-FINS: Helical Straight strip wound on the tube are mechanically secured. The tubes are required grade of steel, the fins are aluminum for maximum tube-wall temperature of 121 deg C (250 deg F) and mild service conditions.

H- FINS: H-economizer two rectangular fin, similar to a square, its edge length for the fluorescent tubes of 2-fold,an expansion of the heating surface. H-economizer flash resistance welding processes used, the welding seam after the high rate of fusion, weld tensile strength, and has good thermal conductivity.

H-economizer can also manufacture dual tube “double H” type fin tubes, its rigid structure, and can be applied to a longer tube row occasions.

Performance characteristics: Excellent anti-wear performance, Less fouling, Compact space, Welded joints less, Stability.

L-FINS: Helical strip bent to L-shape are mechanically secured to the tube with the outer surface of of the tube totally enclosed with fins, for full fin contact and protection of tube from chemical action of the gas for maximum tube-wall temperature of 177 deg C (350 deg F) and moderate service conditions.

G-FINS: Helical straight strip wound into pre-cut grooves on the outer wall of the tube, fin and groove lips mechanically closed for maximum tube-wall temperature of 371 deg C (700 deg F) and extreme working conditions.

HEADERS

Headers form an important part of all types of boilers. Steam from the generating tubes is collected in headers which are therefore always under pressure. This pressure may vary from 300 psi to 2000 psi. Since headers are always under pressure, the utmost care is taken by us while fabricating them. Depending on the generating capacity of the boiler the header sizes fabricated by us vary from 100 mm to 600 mm NB. The stubs of various sizes are very carefully welded to the main body of the header to provide the desired openings from the headers.

Bevelling and weld preparation of stubs duly tack-welded to the main body of the header are first shown to Chief Inspector of Boilers for his approval and once again the stubs fully welded with main body are shown to Chief Inspector of Boilers under hydraulic pressure, varying from 1000 to 3000 psi as required by the specifications. The headers are stamped by Chief Inspector of Boilers before they leave our manufacturing plant. We also weld skubolets and weldolets in place of stubs.

HEAT EXCHANGERS​

For pressure vessels and reaction vessels in M.S., Al, Monel, Inconel, Cupronickel, etc., TPP BOILERS employs the latest techniques for expanding tube ends into tube sheets. High pressure tests are always carried out on these heat exchangers before they leave the factory. Brass, copper, M.S. and S.S. tube sheets are used. Tube sheets are also made out of mild steel, alloy steel or stainless steel and baffle plates are made out of mild steel or stainless steel. Tube Weld fabricates ‘U’ Tube heat exchangers which are used in fertilizer plants, petrochemical and power project complexes.

Fabrication of U-Tubes for Heat-Exchangers Spans at extremely Short Delivery time, even Extra long (23 Mts) is TPP BOILERS specialty. Tube Bending as per TEMA. Tubes to any specification and any length can be supplied in extremely short time due to our wide Mother Tube Stocks.
